Leron 2014
By now, Leron has become a renowned festival. The organising committee, united by a shared passion and a desire to be part of something bigger, puts a tremendous amount of work and dedication to making such an event happen.
On the stage, during the two evenings, groups from Croatia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and England (with a Scottish group), competed for a prize. On Friday evening, the “Loggia” gallery hosted the screening of the film – video portrait titled “Questa son mi, mi son boumbara” (transl. “This is me, I am Boumbara” – the native of Vodnjan), produced by The Istrian Centre for Intangible Culture. The main protagonist is Egle Cetina -Katunar, performer of the “bassi” – two-part descant singing of Vodnjan.
The “Dalmacija” ensemble from Dugi Rat (Croatia) won a sympathy award, by demonstrating a series of dances from Split, Korčula and Trogir.
