INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL OF VODNJAN-DIGNANO

The Italian Community of Vodnjan-Dignano, together with the Italian Union, is a proud organizer of this renowned festival. Every year in August, Vodnjan-Dignano welcomes folklore groups from all over the world. The heart of the town becomes filled with music and a passion for tradition for two whole days.

Vodnjan-Dignano is a town known for its history, its customs and tradition, and for the love and respect for cultural diversity, original dance and music. The Italian Community of Vodnjan-Dignano has one significant task, to pass on the importance of all these values to the younger generations and the public, always numerous and loyal to the festival.

Our international folklore festival – Leron, promotes a spirit of peace, friendship and brotherhood through folk art forms of dance and music. It is a significant multicultural event and a cultural activity that has a great role in community development.
