In August 2002, the second edition of Leron took place. The festival becomes more and more cosmopolitan. The folk groups of the Italian Community of Vodnjan, the Cultural Artistic Society “Barban” (Istria), the group “Anton Jože Štrafela” of Markovci (Slovenia), “Kubra” of Trenčin (Slovakia), “Lacchè” of Coredo (Italy), “Pasian di Prato” from the Italian town of the same name, “Sv. Cecilija” of Korčula (Croatia) all participated in the event. The experts rewarded the Cultural Artistic Society “Barban”, the folk group “Pasian di Prato” and the Italian Community of Vodnjan. Still, the honourable mentions went to the groups of “Kubra” (Slovakia) and “Sv. Cecilija” (Korčula).
The organisers held the round table in the morning where the central theme was “Popular music and songs in the enhancement of traditional folklore”.
