“In diversity, we unite” is one of the countless quotes of our folklore family. Even this year, “Leron” has met everyone’s expectations, confirming the status of Vodnjan as a “city of Istrian folklore”. The Italian group, “Laccio d’amore” from Abruzzo won. They enchanted the audience with an ancient marriage rite. Lots of colourful ribbons tied to a four-meter pole united the dancers in an exciting circle of love.<\/p>\n
The other performers, from France, Italy, Romania, Switzerland and Croatia, all offered their various talents, once again demonstrating the importance of cultural diversity. Needless to say, another successful festival completed!<\/p>\n
