This year “Leron” had to face with a rain-filled weekend, after years of good weather. Rain could not keep the crowds away, as hundred folklore lovers huddled under the covered stage and watched the remaining performances. The participating groups, from France, Italy, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, were not discouraged and took part in the competition without giving up.<\/p>\n
Winners of this edition were the Portuguese of Rancho Folklorico and Regional de Seixo – Coimbra (Portugal). Following the usual awards for music, dances and costumes. Special applause from the jury went to the youth groups, their determination and vivacity in preserving a precious asset such as tradition.<\/p>\n
